Phase1 REQUEST FOR FREE, NO-OBLIGATION ESTIMATE |
In order to obtain a free estimate, the pre-consultation form should be completed. This can be found on the home page of the website, by clicking on the picture which leads to the required operation. Two color photos of the area to be operated should be sent– one profile and one full frontal. For rhinoplasty, you also need to include a photo from top to bottom. These should be sent via email, along with your medical records. This will enable the surgeon to evaluate your case. For orthodontic surgery, a preliminary meeting with the surgeon in Tunisia is essential.
- Only requests with accompanying photographs will be taken into consideration
N.B : - Information will remain strictly confidential
- Consultation will be free and without obligation. Once the estimate has been sent, you will be able to consult the surgeon either via the webcam or by the phone.

Phase 2: CONFIRMATION OF ESTIMATE AND RESERVATION OF SERVICES |
| Within 72 hours you will receive a detailed diagnosis from our medical team, together with the estimate. In order to confirm, all you need to do is complete and send the booking/confirmation form, together with the ID number of the document that each traveler will present at the airport (passport or identity card). |
| |
Phase 3 – DETAILED COST BREAKDOWN |
Once the confirmation has been sent, you will receive a detailed cost breakdown for the whole trip, including surgery, together with a pro-forma invoice for the full amount. The original invoice will be sent once the service has been purchased. Costs for tourism and medical service will be detailed separately. Travel and accommodation costs are to be paid in Italy, either via bank transfer and sent via fax to Chirurgia & Vacanze, or by credit card, sending via fax or email the number of the transaction. Surgical costs are to be paid only after meeting the surgeon and anesthetist in the clinic in Tunis. This meeting will allow you to get to know each other, confirm the diagnosis and the reasons for the surgery, clarify any surgical questions, and establish pre- and post-operative procedure.
Once this has been discussed, an assent form will be signed, and the payment will be made as follows: in cash declared at customs on their arrival (a receipt will be given to you immediately), by travelers cheque, banker’s draft or MASTERCARD, DINERS or AMERICAN EXPRESS credit card, with a 2% commission. ( American express 4% )
| |
Phase 4 – TRAVEL DOCUMENTS |
Travel documents (passport or identity card), electronic air tickets and vouchers, sent via email, will conclude the internet phase of the procedure. (non è chiara questa frase – in che senso possono essere mandati i documenti di viaggio?) . An official invitation will be sent, entitling you to use the services purchased.
| |
Phase 5- ARRIVAL AT TUNIS AIRPORT |
Since your arrival in Tunisia an assistant from Chirurgia & Vacanze (available day and night, 7 days a week) will meet you at the airport, and arrange for your transfer to your hotel. This will be followed by a meeting in which you will be given all the information about your programme, and any free time activities. Our assistant will reconfirm your return flight, and be available for personalized daily help both in the clinic and the hotel, until your departure. |
| |
Phase 6 – PRE-OPERATIVE CONSULTATION |
There will be an appointment in the clinic on the afternoon of your arrival, or the next day for those who arrive in the evening. There will be a meeting with the surgeon and the anesthetist at the clinic, which will allow you to get to know each other, confirm the diagnosis and the reasons for the surgery, and clarify any surgical questions regarding the final result (any alteration requiring further surgery is at the patient’s expense). You will also discuss what you should do before and after the operation, the possible risks and the alternative solutions to the surgery. Where the implants are to be used, you will evaluate their quality, shape and size. At the end of this meeting, you will sign the assent form and be able to look at the medical and surgical environment of the clinic. There is no penalty if the operation is cancelled; you will only owe the extra nights in the hotel.
| |
Phase 7 - OPERATION |
| The operation normally takes place the day after the pre-operative consultation. For those who have this consultation in the morning, the operation can take place the same evening. The assistant of Chirurgia & Vacanze will accompany you to the clinic on the day of the operation to help you during your recovery. No operations take place on Sunday. All the preliminary analyses and diagnoses will be carried out in the clinic in Tunis. The surgeon and anesthetist at the clinic will decide for the use of medicines. |
| |
Phase 8 – CONVALESCENCE |
The convalescence period will be specified by the surgeon according to the type of the operation and the conditions of each patient, bearing in mind any possible risks. Chirurgia & Vacanze’s assistant will organize your transfer from the clinic to your hotel, and be there to help you in the hotel after the operation and arrange the final check-up visit. You will be given a clinic sheet which contains the operation details, and where the prosthesis has been used, a label indicating your home country (France), material (silicon) and the brand (euro silicon). At least two check-up visits will be made during the convalescence period at the hotel. In your free time you can visit the capital and the surrounding areas, as advised by the assistant and the provided surgeon consents.
| |
Phase 9 – RETURN TO YOUR COUNTRY |
On the day of your return, Chirurgia & Vacanze will organize your transfer to the airport and provide the necessary assistance for boarding your plane. Once you have returned, the surgeon will be available on webcam or by phone until he is sure that there is no risks and the operation is completely successful.
| |
Phase 10 – ASSISTANCE AND LONG-DISTANCE GUARANTEE |
If the surgeon identify any problems on the telephone or via webcam which require any further intervention, the costs of the operation, the flight and the hotel will be paid by Chirurgia & Vacanze.
